Cost would also vary greatly depending on whether you can produce the video in-house or require a third-party agency. Some companies have creative teams with the talent to produce these types of video; cost to produce in-house could be as low as $5K. If you have to look outside of your organization, expect to pay higher agency fees.

The most common “recruitment” videos are Employer-branding and Job-Branding video. Employer-Branding videos focus on the employer value proposition (EVP) and company, Job-Branding videos focus on the specific job, i.e. nursing. Videos are effective b/c they require little effort to watch and provide a powerful message. Written “words” can't quickly transmit enthusiasm/passion employees have. There are other kinds of videos too. Develop (and evaluate) a recruitment video based on the original objective and impact/results with the target market/candidates.

There's a "Video 2.0 for Recruitment" blog on ere at: http://www.ere.net/blogs/video_20 , offering best practices, distribution destinations, and how-to info...

Good luck...Ernest, efeiteira [at] careercorner dot tv

In my opinion, I would say that this particular video cost anywhere from $15k-$30k. In double checking with an industry guru, Ernest Feiteira of Career Corner Digital, he confirmed my thoughts and thinks it cost around $20k.

In my past experience of having these types of videos created the saying is true, "you get what you pay for". Ideally, I would recommend a budget of $25k just to be safe. This will ensure that the necessary time, manpower and technical assistance needed to produce a great recruitment video is achieved.
